Leak of the Market Design Directive impact assessment

This is a leak of the Market Design Impact Assessment  governing the operation of electricity markets and in particular, greater measures to make it more consumer focused. It is also vital to putting renewable energy on the same footing as the rest of the electricity market. The legislative proposal is scheduled for October/November 2016.

Latest leak of 2030 Council Conclusions

With less than 10 days to go to the European Council governments are edging closer to a deal as this latest leak of the Council conclusions, dated 13 October, indicates. The key points are:
– 40% GHG target is now almost accepted with only a few governments seeking a lower target. The ETS is to deliver 40% reductions by 2030 from 2005 emissions and non-ETS sectors 30% reductions.

Leak of draft energy and environment state aid guidelines – EEAG

 The controversial State Aid guidelines on energy and environment have just entered final consultation within the European Commission with a view to publication in the coming weeks.
